The collection site hours are:
Summer; April 1 thru September 30 - Wednesday, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Collection Site
The Town of Lakeside is working on plans to move the collection site from its current location to the Town field property just east of the Town Hall for safety and health reason.
Garbage rules and regulations in development for this site.
Please do not leave any items at the collection site that do not belong in the dumpster!
Recycling information
The following Items acceptable for the recycling dumpster.
Cardboard (Boxboard, manila Folders)
File/Office paper (Colored/glossy paper, shredded, post its, adding machine tape, register tape, endvelopes, ream wrappers)
Newspaper
Notebook paper (No spirals or ground wood)
Books (Hardcover, paperback, textbooks, phone, magazines, catalogs, pamphlets and brochures)
Tin food containers (Rinse and remove labels).
Plastics #1 - 7 (Nothing over 5 gallons)
Glass bottles (Rinsed, All colors).
Aluminum cans (Can be donated to the Lakeside Little League. Ask attendant.).
The following Items NOT acceptable for the recycling dumpster.
Paper plates, Plastic cups or plates (Nothing with food waste on them).
Pizza boxes.
Tires.
Plastic grocery bags.
Pallets.
Carbon paper.
Styrofoam of any kind.
Fluorescent bulbs of any kind.
Photographs.
Plastic wrap/Shrink wrap.
Thermal fax paper.
Flower pots and plant trays.
Three ring binders.
Ground wood paper of any kind.
Stencils.
Appliances.
Electronics and components.
Household, lawn, shop and garden chemicals.
Liquid paint.
Construction / demolition waste.
Batteries.
